Sprint, middle distance and long-distance

Numbers of sprints, among others: 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters.
Numbers of middle-distance running or are, among others: 800 meters, 1,500 meters and 3,000 meters.
Numbers of long-distance running, among others: 5,000 meters, 10,000 meters, and 42,195 meters (marathon).
Run numbers (special event):
- Run on or relay: 4 x 100 meters and 4 x 400 meters.
- Hurdles: 100 meters for women, 110 meters and 400 meters for men.
