The geographical conditions of an area affect residents. Geographical conditions relating to the physical environment such as the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere. Residents tried to adjust to the physical environment for survival.

Geographic conditions indicate the condition of the natural environment or the physical landscape of a region. Conditions geographic area can be seen from several aspects such as climate, soil, hydrology, location, topography, and rock.

The layout shows where the presence or position of the area or areas on the surface of the earth. Location of the region on the surface of the Earth can be divided into two, namely the geographical position and geographical location.

a. The geographical position
The geographical position is the position of a region that is based on latitude and longitude. The geographical position is often called the astronomical positions. For example, Indonesia's geographical position between 6 degrees N - 11 degrees latitude and 95 degrees BT - 141 degrees longitude. Based on the geographical position, we know the condition of Indonesia are as follows:
1. Indonesia territory traversed latitude 0 degrees or the equator (equator)
2. Indonesia wider region in the southern hemisphere than the northern hemisphere
3. Indonesia tropical regions are characterized by high rainfall and high temperatures.

b. Location of grografis
Geographical location is the location of a region on the surface of the earth from the area around a larger area. For example, Indonesia geographically located between Asia and Australia, as well as between the Indian and Pacific Oceans. This situation makes the location is very strategic areas of Indonesia are at the cross.
