Broadly speaking, based on the cause, natural disasters can be divided into three, namely:
1. Natural disasters geological
Geological natural disasters are natural disasters caused by factors originating from the earth.
a. Earthquake. An earthquake is a symptom of energy release in the form of waves radiating to the earth's surface caused by a disturbance in the earth's crust in the form of broken, crumbling, or destroyed.
b. Volcanic eruptions. Endogenous style that can lead to a natural disaster is a volcanic eruption. When will collapse and when the volcano erupted causing endogenous force or tremor. Materials are released when a volcano erupts very harmful to humans or other living creatures. Materials include lava, heat clouds, rocks, sand, gravel, and dust.
c. Ground movement or landslides. Natural disasters landslides triggered by climatological factors such as rain but early symptoms resulting from conditions such as geological characteristics of the soil, rocks, and the flatness of the ground level.
d. Tsunami. Tsunami is a symptom of aftershocks of the earthquake that centered on the seabed. Keep your ketahuo that not all earthquakes cause tsunamis. Tsunamis can also be caused by volcanic eruptions in the seabed. In addition there are ruins on the seabed are also able to generate a tsunami.
e. Seiche or tsunami on a small scale. Seiche swing hit the lake or reservoir water level at the coast due to the shock of the earth around him.

2. Natural disasters climatological
Natural disasters are climatological disasters caused by changing weather.
a. Flood. Flood is an overflow of water that exceeds the limit.
b. Flash floods. Luapa water floods are beyond the limit is accompanied by a strong current, even hack flood flow is capable sweep objects in its path.
c. Hurricane. The storm was blowing strong winds and large.
d. Drought. Hot climatic conditions in the absence of rain causes the soil and the plants become dry. During a drought, water is hard to come by. Lots of dead plants and soil into the cracks due to lack of water. Water sources such as wells and rivers shrink or dry out.
e. Forest fires. Forest fires occur not because of deliberate human. Forests can burn due to the friction of dry branches blowing in the wind. Friction repeatedly will cause sparks. With the condition of dry twigs and leaves that will facilitate the fire spread throughout the forest area.

3. Natural disasters extraterrestrial
Natural disasters are natural disasters extraterrestrial caused by objects from outer space. An example is the meteor hit or objects from outer space hit the Earth. This happened in 1908 in Russia. Meteors fall to earth and caused a huge hole like a crater.
